Sausage Portobello Pizzas

Sausage Portobello Pizzas

Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°F.

2Line a 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan with foil. Coat with cooking spray.

3Remove gills and stems from mushrooms; reserving stems. Chop stems and set aside. Place mushrooms stem side up into prepared pan. Drizzle with oil. Bake for 5 minutes.

4Meanwhile, in a large skillet cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the chopped mushroom stems, onion, pepper, olives, garlic and 1 cup pizza sauce. Cook and stir until heated through.

5Spoon sausage mixture into mushrooms; sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 8-12 minutes longer or until mushrooms are tender.

6In a small saucepan, heat remaining pizza sauce. Serve with mushrooms.

4 large Portobello mushrooms

1 Tbsp olive oil

1/2 lb mild Italian sausage

1/2 cup chopped sweet onion

1/2 cup chopped green pepper

2 Tbsp sliced black olives

2 medium garlic cloves, minced

1 pint prepared Mrs. Wages® Pizza Sauce, divided

2/3 cup shredded Italian blend cheese
