Apple, Bacon Queso Bread Pudding

Apple, Bacon Queso Bread Pudding

Directions

1In a large skillet, sauté apples in butter for 2-3 minutes. Stir in Mrs. Wages® Spiced Apple Mix. Reduce heat to low. Cook and stir for 5-7 minutes or until apples are tender.

2In a greased 11-in. x 7-in. baking dish layer half of the bread cubes, bacon, apples, and cheese. Repeat layers.

3In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, Mrs. Wages® Pepper Jack Queso Mix, soy sauce, salt and pepper; pour over cheese. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

4Preheat oven to 350°F.

5Bake, uncovered for 40-45 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

3 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled and coarsely chopped (about 3 cups)

3 Tbsp butter

3 Tbsp Mrs. Wages® Spiced Apple Mix

4 cups cubed Texas toast bread

1 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

5 eggs

2 cups milk

2 pouches Mrs. Wages® Pepper Jack Queso Mix

2 tsp soy sauce

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper
