Chili Sauce Recipe
Directions
Combine tomatoes, peppers, onions, sugar, brown sugar, Mrs. Wages ® Pickling & Canning Vinegar, mustard, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cayenne in a saucepan. Mix thoroughly. Simmer 1 to 2 hours or until mixture reaches desired thickness.
Pack the hot sauce into clean, hot canning jars, leaving ½ - inch headspace. Wipe rim clean and adjust lids.
Process half-pints or pints, in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes
Test jars for airtight seal 12 to 24 hours after processing. If jars are not properly sealed, refrigerate and use within a week. Label and store in a cool, dry, dark place.
