Sausage Portobello Pizzas

Make mini pizzas out of portobello mushrooms with fresh-ground sausage and Mrs. Wages® Pizza Sauce. From the test kitchens at Mrs. Wages®.

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Line a 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan with foil. Coat with cooking spray.

Remove gills and stems from mushrooms; reserving stems. Chop stems and set aside. Place mushrooms stem side up into prepared pan. Drizzle with oil. Bake for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the chopped mushroom stems, onion, pepper, olives, garlic and 1 cup pizza sauce. Cook and stir until heated through.

Spoon sausage mixture into mushrooms; sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 8-12 minutes longer or until mushrooms are tender.

In a small saucepan, heat remaining pizza sauce. Serve with mushrooms.
